Friday 15 November 2024 Year 7 basketball tournament In the tournament held at GIA on 15th November, our boys’ team started against one of the strongest teams in the tournament and competed well but couldn’t find the win, although scoring some good points in the match. After a break to rest and watch other schools competing, the GIA boys had two games back to back which was always going to be a test of fitness and resilience. In the first game they battled hard against Houstone School, the eventual tournament winners, but couldn’t find enough points to win the game. They were then straight into another tough game where they scored some great points. They finished fourth, and showed great resilience, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

Thursday 14 November 2024 Year 5 Holdenby House trips Year 5 students took part in trips to Holdenby House in Northamptonshire this week, where they enjoyed the full experience of being a Victorian servant - from cleaning the silver, making bread and chutney, polishing boots and making beds, to emptying chamber pots (filled with cold tea!) and laying the table. The Holdenby House staff remained in character as a Victorian butler, housekeeper and cook and the children can really appreciated what life was like back then.
